Select the button which best describes your patient's tumor:

The tumor meets all of these criteria:

• less than 3 cm in greatest dimension,
• surrounded by lung or visceral pleura,
• without bronchoscopic evidence of invasion of the main bronchus.

The tumor exhibits any of the following:

• size greater than 3 cm in maximal dimension,
• invasion of the main bronchus beyond 2 cm from the carina,
• invasion of the viscera pleura,
• association with atelectasis or obstructive pneumonia involving the hilus but not the entire lung.

The tumor exhibits any of the features described above and invades any of the following structures:

• chest wall (including superior sulcus tumors), diaphragm, mediastinal pleura, or parietal pericardium.

Or the tumor is:

• present in the main bronchus within 2 cm of the carina but not involving the carina,
• associated with atelectasis or obstructive pneumonia of the entire lung.

The tumor exhibits any of the features described above and directly invades the:

• mediastinum, heart, great vessels, trachea, esophagus, vertebral body or carina.

Or there is a:

• malignant pleural effusion,
• malignant pericardial effusion,
• satellite nodule present in the ipsilateral lobe of the lung.

No regional lymph node metastasis.

Metastatic tumor identified in the:

• ipsilateral peribronchial nodes,
• ipsilateral hilar lymph nodes,
• intrapulmonary nodes

Metastatic tumor identified in the nodal groups above and in the:

• ipsilateral mediastinal nodes,
• subcarinal lymph nodes.

Metastatic tumor identified in the:

• contralateral mediastinal nodes,
• contralateral hilar nodes,
• ipsilateral or contralateral scalene nodes,
• supraclavicular lymph nodes.

No distant metastasis.
